About Charlie

Charlie was a promising power forward… in seventh grade. But he never grew beyond six-foot-one or developed that left hand, and his dreams of playing for Louie Carnesecca’s Redmen withered on the vine. As so often happens, he turned his attention to writing about hoops.

Charlie is a freelance sportswriter who has covered pro and college basketball for About.com, RotoWire.com and fantasy basketball for NBA.com, Yahoo!, Fox Sports and other websites, and in print for the RotoWire and NBA fantasy preview magazines.

In a previous life, he was sports editor for AOL’s “Digital City New York” site.

This site is primarily a collection of Charlie’s columns and posts from Rotowire, Rotowire’s RotoSynthesis blog, About Basketball and MSG.com as well.

There are some other goodies thrown in here and there.

When I’m not writing about basketball for web sites, I’m building web sites for other people. If you need a web site you can manage — at a reasonable rate — check out my portfolio at ctzdesign.com

  1. Charlie,
I am lost without your bracket picks on about.com. Can you make me look good with your picks this year? You have been a household name in my home and my wife and I would like to thank you as we have a few years of cashing in on you expertise.
