Buckeyes Advance Despite Turner’s Off Night

by Charlie on March 20, 2010

Evan Turner gets all the press, but the Ohio State Buckeyes are not a one-man team. They proved that last night, overcoming an uncharacteristically poor shooting night from their star to beat UC Santa Barbara, 68-51.

Turner scored just nine points, shooting a horrid 2-of-13 from the field. But Jon Diebler picked him up, scoring 23 points and hitting seven threes. Dallas Lauderdale keyed the defense, blocking eight shots and snaring 12 rebounds.
