Celtics Advance to Finals

The Boston Celtics earned the right to play for an 18th NBA title — and second in three years — with a convincing 96-84 win over the Orlando Magic in Game Six of the Eastern Conference Finals.

Paul Pierce scored 31 points and hauled in 13 rebounds for Boston. Dwight Howard led Orlando with 28 points and 12 boards, but Jameer Nelson and Rashard Lewis were held in check by Boston’s tough defense. Little-used sub Nate Robinson gave the C’s a boost with a 13-point second quarter.
