Dalembert Trade Could Shake Up Draft

by Charlie on June 19, 2010

Just when a consensus about the top of the draft was starting to emerge, the Sixers and Kings made a trade that could shake things up significantly.

John Wall is a mortal lock to go to Washington first overall – so much so that the presumed number two pick, Ohio State’s Evan Turner – refused to waste his time and work out for the Wizards. In most mock drafts, Turner goes second to the Sixers, followed by Derrick Favors to the Nets at three, Wes Johnson to the T-Wolves at four and Greg Monroe to Sacramento at five.

But yesterday’s trade – which sent center Samuel Dalembert to Sacramento in exchange for Spencer Hawes and Andres Nocioni – could impact that top five in a big way.
