David Stern Doesn’t Want to Hear Your Complaints

NBA commissioner David Stern has heard the complaints about officiating. His reaction? Let’s just say he’s not particularly sympathetic.

Regarding the complaints from the likes of Orlando coach Stan Van Gundy the Lakers’ Phil Jackson and others, Stern told reporters:

So, our coaches should be quiet because this is a good business that makes them good livings and supports a lot of families. And if they don’t like it, they should go get a job someplace else. I don’t mean to be too subtle.

Don’t worry, commissioner. Subtle you’re not. Let’s bear in mind, your office has already hit Van Gundy, Jackson, Boston’s Rasheed Wallace and Orlando’s Matt Barnes with $35,000 fines for complaining about officials, just in the last two weeks.
