Frank Isola of the New York Daily News is reporting that Lebron James and Eddy Curry may spend part of this summer working out together. Curry and James are connected via several associations; they share an agent (Leon Rose) and both have ties to William “Worldwide Wes” Wesley, one of the game’s most important power brokers.
Obviously, that pairing has some Knick fans concerned. New Yorkers wouldn’t want Ed Whitson leading tours of the new Yankee Stadium or Bobby Bonilla apartment-hunting with free agents; having Mike D’Antoni’s least-favorite Knick spending the offseason with Donnie Walsh’s number one target might not be that bad, but it certainly isn’t ideal.
But there could be an upside.
