For a player like Kentucky guard John Wall, entering the NBA draft is a no-brainer. His stellar play this season already has the dismal New Jersey Nets wondering if they should trade Devin Harris now or wait until after the draft lottery. And Devin Harris was an all-star last year.
That’s respect.
Now, some players might tip-toe around the draft question — give “Bull Durham” style answers when asked about the NBA, saying “My only priority right now is to win a championship,” or something along those lines.
Not John Wall. When asked about entering the draft, Wall told reporters, “I really have no choice.“
Wall’s Wildcats are the last remaining unbeaten team in Division I, and will receive the coveted number one ranking when the Top 25 Polls are released later today.
Mock NBA Draft
Like everyone else, I’ve got John Wall in the number one spot on my 2010 NBA Mock Draft. Here are my projections for the entire first round.
