The winningest program in college basketball history reached a major milestone last night; Kentucky’s victory over Drexel was the 2000th in school history.
The Wildcats reached the mark in highly convincing fashion, blowing out the Dragons by a score of 88-44. DeMarcus Cousins and Patrick Patterson scored 18 points each, while John Wall chipped in 16 points and seven assists.
North Carolina (1,992 wins) and Kansas (1,980) will be the next schools to reach the 2000-victory mark.
