Magic Johnson Denied Courtside Seat at MSG

by Charlie on January 6, 2010

The overblown New York media story of the day comes from the New York Daily News, reporting that Magic Johnson requested — and was denied — seats on Madison Square Garden”s “Celebrity Row.” The reason? Magic criticized ex-Knick coach Isiah Thomas in his book When the Game Was Ours.

Despite his performance as coach and president of the Knicks, Thomas remains close with team owner James Dolan.

Personally, I think Dolan is punishing Magic for the wrong reason. He should have denied the ticket request because Johnson recommended Thomas for the Knicks job in the first place.
