‘Miami Thrice’ Visit The Garden

by Charlie on December 17, 2010

Just days after a heartbreaking last-second loss to the NBA’s hottest team, the league’s second-hottest squad will visit Madison Square Garden. LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and the Miami Heat bring a 10-game winning streak to New York this Friday.

Erik Spoelstra’s club has recovered quite nicely from their early-season struggles. Wade, in particular, has stepped up his play of late; he’s the reigning Eastern Conference Player of the Week. And as you’d expect from any Pat Riley team, the Heat are playing very good defense. Miami allows just 91 points per game — tied with Boston for lowest in the league.

Of course, Boston’s scoring defense didn’t slow the Knicks much on Wednesday. The Knicks scored 116 in the loss — more than any Celtic opponent this season.

Friday’s game could be another barn-burner.
