Tomorrow is a key date on the NBA calendar. As of December 15th, any player that signed a free-agent contract over the summer (with a few notable exceptions) is eligible to be traded.
Among the newly-eligible, the biggest name that will surface in trade rumors is likely Portland guard Andre Miller. Portland’s acquisition of Miller has been something of a disappointment, as the veteran point and Blazer star Brandon Roy don’t seem to complement each other well. Trading Miller could bring back some depth that the Blazers need badly after the season-ending injuries to Greg Oden, Nicolas Batum and Travis Outlaw.
Another player who will be included in rumors is Knick guard Nate Robinson, but trading L’il Him won’t be simple. As a restricted free agent signed to a one-year extension, Robinson — like teammate David Lee and Charlotte’s Raymond Felton — will have veto power over any trade proposal.
