In their search for a new mascot to replace the dated rebel, Ole Miss students have extended their search to a galaxy far, far away. They’re pushing for Admiral Ackbar, the fish-headed fleet commander of the Rebel Alliance in several of George Lucas’ Star Wars films.
Will it happen? Probably not. You don’t usually see licensed characters turned into school symbols… (Donald Duck, who has served as Oregon’s mascot since 1947, is the most notable exception.) But that doesn’t prevent us from taking a quick look around the Star Wars universe for .
