Gilbert Arenas is in deep, deep trouble for bringing four guns to the Washington Wizards’ locker room at the Verizon Center, in violation of both Washington D.C. law and the NBA firearm policy. Thankfully, he left the rest of his arsenal elsewhere, or we might have had World War III on our hands.
According to a report from WTOP Radio in Washington, Arenas owns “hundreds” of additional guns. But according to the report, the rest of his collection was removed from his Virginia home in the last year.
That revelation casts serious doubt on the claim that Arenas brought the guns to the Verizon Center because he wanted them out of his house and away from his children — why would he move hundreds to storage, but need to bring the remaining four to work? — and makes it sound much more like the four weapons at the heart of this matter were brought to the locker room specifically as props for his “practical joke” on teammate Javaris Crittenton.
