Syracuse Gets Revenge, Beats Vermont

by Charlie on March 20, 2010

The last time Syracuse and Vermont met in the NCAA Tournament, the Orange were sent packing. This time, the result was quite the opposite, as the top-ranked Orange used a balanced attack to blow out the Catamounts, 79-56.

Five Syracuse players scored in double-figures, led by junior swingman Wesley Johnson, who had 18 points.

The Orange played without center Arinze Onuaku, who injured his right quad during the Big East tournament. Onuaku’s status for Syracuse’s second-round matchup with Gonzaga is uncertain.
