Congratulation to the University of Connecticut women’s basketball team and coach Geno Auriemma for posting their 88th consecutive win yesterday, an 81-50 drubbing of Ohio State. The number 88 is significant; it matches the all-time record for consecutive wins by a men’s college basketball team, set by John Wooden’s UCLA Bruins between 1971 and 1974. [...]
