Everyone expects the Kentucky Wildcats to lose several key players to the NBA draft after this season — John Wall is a near-lock to be selected first overall, and DeMarcus Cousins and Patrick Patterson will be first-round picks as well. But the cupboard at Rupp Arena won’t be totally bare… it sounds like Calipari will land the top recruit in the class of 2010, combo guard Brandon Knight.
Florida fans are sure to be disappointed; hopes were high that the Coral Springs product would stay in his home state and play for Billy Donovan’s Gators. Instead, Knight may seek what seems to be a sure path to NBA stardom, following in the footsteps of Derrick Rose, Tyreke Evans and Wall.
