A Danero Thomas fifteen-footer as time expired sent Vanderbilt home a bit earlier than anticipated, as thirteen seed Murray State upset the Commodores, 66-65.
The win was just the second in school history, and first since 1988.
Isacc Miles led the Racers with 17 points. Freshman guard John Jenkins had a team-high 13 for Vandy.
