Vindication?

The Phoenix Suns – Mike D’Antoni’s old team – swept San Antonio and are headed to the Western Conference Finals. Seeing the old team succeed – after leading the new team to another 50-loss campaign – might be difficult for some coaches. But D’Antoni sees the Suns’ success as vindication, as proof that his “seven seconds or less” system can win a title.

D’Antoni told Newsday’s Alan Hahn that the Suns and Orlando Magic – another team that runs an offense heavy on the pick-and-roll and the three – “are reaffirming the blueprint that’ll get us to a championship.”

As much as I admire coach’s confidence in seven-seconds-or-less… comparing the Suns or Magic to his Knicks is like comparing apples to… raisins?
