Freshman Jordan Williams set new career highs in scoring and rebounds, leading Maryland to a 89-77 win over Houston.
Williams posted 21 points and 17 boards, while ACC Player of the Year Greivis Vasquez chipped in 16 points and six assists for the Terps.
Houston’s Aubrey Coleman – the nation’s leading scorer this season – scored 26 for Houston, but was held scoreless for a ten-minute span in the second half as Maryland pulled away.
